BOLLYWOOD

Bollywood icon Dev Anand is no more. The veteran actor passed away in London late last night. He was 88. His best remembered film happens to be Guide, for which he won a Filmfare award in 1966. His other notable films include Hum Dono, Jewel Thief, Prem Pujari, and Paying Guest. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Dada Saheb Phalke award in 2002. His acting career spans 5 decades and appearance in 110 films.

    Sad to hear the death of Dev Anand, personally I don’t think he was the best of actors, specially in the 70s but his acting in the 50′s and early 60′s was good. He will be specially remembered for the memorable songs of Mohd Rafi and Kishore Kumar he mimed over. R.I.P
